Robert C. "Bob" Howes (2024)

Robert C. "Bob" Howes, who has divided his time between HalfMoon Bay and Black Butte Ranch in Oregon since 1994, died Oct. 24at his Half Moon Bay home at age 76 after a lengthy bout withpulmonary fibrosis.

Mr. Howes was born April 26, 1927 in New Bedford, Mass. When hewas 8, his family moved to the unspoiled island of Martha'sVineyard, where he spent the rest of his boyhood.
