How our ED Wait Times are Calculated (2024)

Wait times are provided for informational purposes only. Patients with life threatening emergencies will receive immediate care.

The wait time represents the average time a patient has had to wait from the time they arrived at the emergency department to either when they were triaged or when they were seen by a qualified medical practitioner (physician, certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant). The longer of the two times will be displayed to give the most accurate expectation of wait time. Wait times are continuously averaged and are updated every 30 minutes.
