So I have naturally long nails, but I was told to get them cut short because I just started to take piano lessons again. Anyone have anysuggestions?
Really short nails look better with lighter more neutral colors on them. So stay sheer with polish and always make sure all of your nails are neatly filed and your cuticles aretrimmed.
Hey, I have short, natural nails, and I think they can look really cute if you do them right! I agree about the light colors, although if you do bright colors on short nails it's often much more "wearable" (it can be a little intense to have long, clawlike nails that are neon green to boot!). Remember that if you're going somewhere special you can always glue on false nails for the evening if you like the look of long nails better :) Hope thathelps!
I always keep my nails short, except when I go to any party. I use light as well as deep shades frequently- they both look great on short nails.
pastels are awesome on short nails, and don't forget to leave a border of clean nail around the polish, which makes them appear longer as well as neat and well maintained:)
i have short nails, normal lenght, they dont stand out from the finger tip.. i think its the most delicate and elegant look.. it looks more polished for me.. half moon or french mani looks thebest
Bright colors :) i cut my nails because i cant type well with my natural long ones. and bright nail color makes me feel they look pretty:)
I keep mine at a short squoval shape and love it. I wear all different color as well. As long as cuticles and polish are maintained short nails can look just as glam as longnails.
Bright and glittery:D
you just have to love them :)
i think glittery nail polish suit short nails quite well! also pastels too:)
i always keep my nails short, well groomed, and polished! I cant stand longnails.
Short nails are great! I think the shape is what makes them elegant. Keep the shape smooth in a subtle squoval shape and they'll always look sharp. Instead of heavy texture, I think creme lacquers (no shimmer/frost/glitter) look most sophisticated and help lengthen the nail bed. However, it's a catch-22—glitter textures last longer, especially with the constant clanging of the piano keys (I play piano so I know how you feel). Invest in an amazing top coat!:)
I have a few designs I have posted that I think you may find cute, also there is info on a special at walgreens, for more details, check meout!
Atm Im rocking dark colours, which look GORJ short & squared. I add a sticker or two & it looks so pro :Dxx
The decals are fun and don't forget smallstones.
I think that all the bright colors are looking very good in short nails :) At this moment I'm wearing fuschia :) and oh yes, the darker colors too.
No matter what length my nails are I absolutely LOVE glitter, but I think it matters what YOU like. If you're confident in what you're rockin' it works.XD
I would suggest a square tip, but I always feel that dark colors n short nails lookamazing
I would suggest doing some nail art on your nails, keep them manicured and polished with a shade that is going to go with your skin tone. Not every bright color or dark color may look right for you. You can also try the nail stamps, glittered tips (using really fine craft glitter and clear nail polish). To make them grow, I highly recommend getting this lotion for your nails called "Hard as hoofs", it does work wonderfully to strengthen your nails. You just have to mess around with various nail polishes and various designs to see what you like best. Hope thishelps
Short Nails look really good when you paint them a darker color. :D Hope this helps ypu out somewhat!:D
I prefer my nails short! While you may not be able to draw an entire jungle on your nails you can still have a little pop to em! Just love them.... they're dainty!
I use to have that and I would just stick with one color. No designs or french. The french nail tip with make your nails looks evenshorter.
A square tip definitely looks great on short nails. As @Colleen said, avoid the French manicure because it does make your nails look shorter. I think neutral or dark nails look lovely on shorter nails. The only thing I'd avoid is brights. And this is all from experience.:P
